FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Luke Birch
CEng IMechE
Luke is a senior engineering, innovation and sustainability leader with almost two decades of experience in the automotive industry. At JLR, he leads the Product Engineering sustainability strategic theme, shaping strategy and technology priorities across decarbonisation, circularity, sustainable materials and future product development.
His career has spanned advanced engineering, research, technology development and senior leadership, with particular experience in taking ideas from early-stage research through to industrial application. Luke is a named inventor on 36 automotive patents and has led complex technology portfolios involving engineering teams, academia, suppliers and government-supported innovation programmes.
A Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Luke also holds several industry advisory-board positions. His work increasingly focuses on bringing together engineering, innovation, sustainability and strategic leadership to turn complex challenges into practical, commercially relevant outcomes.
Luke lives in Leamington with his wife and two young boys.
